Addition Basic Fact practice.

I have been practice my addition basic facts. I wanted to get faster and more accurate. When I started my top score was 27. 
Today I scored 45. Here are my results.   

Recount Writing-Feeding the Pigs.

I am learning to use the correct structure and language for recount writing.

Feeding the pigs

On Saturday afternoon I went with my mum and dad to feed the pigs at Awarua. The pigs were very hungry.

My friends came over to stay for the night. We had heaps of fun at my house.

We had a few games of bat down. I got to be the first batter on bat down. I did a big big hit but my dad and mum did the biggest hits like lava coming out of a volcano. I said, “Wow, now that is a big hit mum. Then my brother came out to play but he did the smallest hit. Next it was time to go to Julius's house. At Julius’s house we were playing together. We had a game of rugby. My dad and mum came to play. Julius's dad and mum came and played too. I went for a sub of and I cheered for the people that were playing rugby. It was a very cool day with my family.

Te Reo Maori

I have been learning the names of things in our classroom in Te Reo Maori.

I have also been learning Tenei and Tena.

Toku Pepeha

I have been learning to say my Pepeha with confidence.

Term 2 Goal setting.

I achieved most of my goals this term  I feel really good and excited.

 

Recount Writing-I went to the park.

WALT add details to help our readers understand our story.

I also added interesting words, talking, similes, feelings and thoughts.

I went to the park.

On Saturday afternoon me and my family went to the park in Kaikohe.

I felt excited when I got to the park.

When we got to the park we saw the swings and the playground. I said to my mum and dad, “This is cool here.”

The first thing I did at the park was I played on the swing. I felt very pumped up like a balloon in the air.

Next we played on the slide and it was fun as.    I said to myself, “This is very awesome.”

After that  we had a race around the park. I had a cool time at the park.

In the weekend

In the weekend it was mine and my brother’s birthday.

All my cousins came over to our birthday at my house in Awarua.

We had fun eating yummy food and playing. I said to my cousins Deeken and Dezray and Julius, “This is a cool birthday.”

Then we had a swim at the Twin Bridges. I said  to my mum and dad and brother, “Let's do some bombs.” We did a few bombs. I said to Julius, “This is fun as.”

Then we went home and had dinner. We had kumara and pork and mince. I said, “This is very yum.” Next we went to watch some movies and  cartoons. We cooked some popcorn and ate it in the lounge and I said, “I am very full.” “Then we drifted off to sleep.
